ReMoko – Now with Gestures

ReMoko Acceleromter profile

A new version of ReMoko is now available for download, the key feature of this new version is the possibility to send events through accelerometer gestures. I used the Paul’s gestures daemon, also made in the GSoC, to catch the gestures. All the gestures are configurable, so you can control a slideshow, a presentation or any program that you want. I’m waiting for some nice community videos of ReMoko :)

    Is it possible to make it into one of these?

  3. admin Says:

    @Vasili – yes it’s possible with a lot of work :)

    I quickly tried to install Gestures on SHR-unstable, it didn’t work out of the box, I didn’t tried further, but:
    when gestures is installed (even not launched), the mouse controller slows noticeably:the pointer warps.
    removing the accelges instantly solved the problem.

    @Deubeuliou- Yap, it true, the gestures daemon consume more than 20 % of the CPU, so the rest of the apps will slow down a bit, ReMoko also need a lot of CPU when sending constant mouse events.
